According to shipbroker Bancosta, Greek shipowner DryDel Shipping has placed an order for one 66,000 DWT Ultramax bulk carrier with Tsuneishi Cebu shipyard. The newbuilding cost remains undisclosed, with delivery expected in the first quarter of 2028.

Data indicates that Tsuneishi Cebu Shipyard, located in the Philippines, serves as the overseas base for Japan’s Tsuneishi Shipbuilding. The total investment exceeds US$300 million. Following multiple expansion phases, the shipyard now operates two slipways and one dry dock, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 30 vessels. It primarily constructs bulk carriers ranging from 30,000 to 180,000 deadweight tons.

Official records indicate that DryDel Shipping is a Greek dry bulk shipping company operating a modern fleet of 12 dry bulk carriers with an average age of just 4 years, all constructed by Japanese shipyards. The company also maintains a fleet of 22 vessels chartered under long-term time charter agreements. Regarding newbuild orders, DryDel has placed orders for 10 additional dry bulk carriers in Japan.
