Recently, Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard successfully completed the launch milestone for the first 115,000 DWT product tanker built for Greek shipowner NAVIOS MARITIME PARTNERS L.P.
This series of vessels represents a new generation of LR2/Afra deep-well pump tankers, developed in accordance with the latest regulations. They are approximately 249.9 meters in length, 44 meters in breadth, and 21.5 meters in depth. Classed by ABS, these vessels can operate on clean energy sources such as methanol and LNG in addition to conventional fuel oil.
At the same time, the reservation of medium-voltage shore power provides favorable conditions for shipowners to access the medium-voltage shore power system in the future, which can effectively reduce carbon, sulfur and other atmospheric pollution generated by the use of auxiliary generators while vessels are at port. As the most effective environmental protection solution, HVSC is being adopted by more and more shipowners.
Moreover, the vessel is also equipped with an advanced single-tank single-pump hydraulically driven deep well pump (Framo), which enhances cargo diversity and provides greater operational value.
