GTT Secures Twin LNG Tank Design Orders from Hanwha Ocean

On October 9, French engineering firm GTT announced it has received a new order from its partner Hanwha Ocean for the tank design of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier on behalf of a North American shipowner. This marks the second such order from the South Korean shipyard in recent weeks.

The vessel will feature GTT’s cryogenic membrane containment system, model NO96 L03+, and will have a total cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters. It is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2028.

Just a week earlier, GTT announced another order from Hanwha Ocean under similar specifications for a different North American owner. That vessel, also with a capacity of 174,000 m³ and equipped with the same NO96 L03+ technology, is slated for delivery in the first quarter of 2028.
