On September 17, Taizhou Kouan shipbuilding formally signed a contract with Fujian Lida Group and Hong Kong Quan Tong Corporation for the construction of two 3,300 TEU container ships.

The 3,300 TEU container ship contracted this time is a popular ship type in the current market. Developed and designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI), it is a technologically mature, high-performance medium-sized container ship.
This ship offers significant advantages in energy efficiency, environmental performance, cargo handling capacity and operational flexibility. It meets the requirements of major ports worldwide and is particularly well-suited for regional routes and feeder services.
In addition to the above orders, Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding also received four 63,000 DWT general cargo ships from KING SHIP (HK) and two 13,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers and two 13,800 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers from Xingtong Shipping this year.
As a large-scale private shipbuilding enterprise in Jiangsu Province, Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding has continuously enhanced its technical capabilities and construction efficiency in recent years, securing numerous international orders for bulk carriers, container ships, stainless steel chemical tankers and other ships.
With the KING SHIP (HK) order secured, Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding’s order backlog has further expanded, with some production lines already scheduled through the first half of 2029.
