Recently, COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore held a ground breaking ceremony for the expansion and reconstruction of its outfitting dock.
As a pivotal move in the company’s strategy to deepen its marine equipment manufacturing capabilities and advance industrial upgrading, the launch of this project marks a significant step forward for COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore in strengthening its core production capacity and expanding its business footprint.
The project will construct a 300,000-ton outfitting berth with a total length of 440 meters (including 220 meters of new construction and 220 meters of existing structure renovation), along with supporting facilities such as independent piers, approach bridges, and substation platforms.
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2026. Upon full completion, it will significantly expand COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore’s premium berthing resources, markedly enhance its comprehensive capabilities in outfitting, mooring, and operational maintenance for large vessels and offshore engineering equipment, and lay the hardware foundation for undertaking more high-end and larger-scale international offshore projects.
