Recently, the first set of marine selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exported overseas by Shanghai QiYao Environmental Technology (Qiyao Environ Tec), a subsidiary of CSSC, successfully completed commissioning and performance inspection at Samsung Shipyard in South Korea, and successfully obtained the Tier III emission certificate.
This SCR system is used on 16 16,500 TEU container ships and is compatible with the 7H32DF-LM and 9H32DF-LM methanol dual-fuel generator sets used on these vessels. In both diesel and methanol modes, it achieves a nitrogen oxide conversion rate exceeding 80%.
As Qiyao Environ Tec’s first marine SCR project with an overseas shipyard, the project team effectively addressed multiple challenges, including international collaboration and logistics, through early system planning and multi-dimensional contingency plan design. The project was completed with high standards and quality. The on-site commissioning and technical team’s professional services and outstanding emissions testing performance earned them high recognition from both the shipowner and the shipyard.
The successful delivery of the first set of overseas marine SCR systems has laid a good foundation for Qiyao Environ Tec to further expand the overseas marine environmental protection product market.
