On July 1st, the highly-anticipated pipe-laying vessel Audacia of ALLSEAS successfully berthed at Berth No.1 of Zhoushan Daishan Changhong Ship Repair, marking the official kick-off of this world-class offshore engineering conversion project.
The key projects of this conversion include: installation of SPONSON; installation of ESS high-power battery packs; installation of 10 large winches; renovation of living quarters; and painting of ballast tanks. Although the conversion work has not yet begun in earnest, Zhoushan Daishan Changhong Ship Repair has already made thorough preparations, relying on its deep technical expertise and efficient planning to lay a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the project.
During the preliminary technical preparation stage, the technical team of Zhoushan Daishan Changhong Ship Repair conducted multiple rounds of in-depth technical discussions regarding the conversion requirements of the Audacia. Facing the complex conversion projects, the project management team applied advanced ship design software to accurately simulate and analyze the ship’s structure and system layout by establishing 3D models, optimizing the conversion plan. Meanwhile, finite element analysis technology was utilized to conduct detailed calculations on the strength and stability of key hull components, providing a solid theoretical basis for subsequent construction and ensuring that each link is scientific, reasonable, safe, and reliable.
Meanwhile, the block manufacturing work is carried out in an orderly manner. The shipyard has given full play to its advantages in advanced modular construction technology, prefabricating large structural components required for modification in sections. In the workshop, advanced equipment such as high-precision CNC cutting machines and automatic welding robots are operating at full capacity to strictly control the manufacturing precision of each block. In the block manufacturing of “SPONSON and port/starboard extension platform installation”, high-precision processing technology is used to ensure that the dimensional error of each block is controlled within a minimal range, laying a foundation for the subsequent rapid and precise on-site installation, which greatly improves the construction efficiency and quality.
The project manager stated, “Undertaking the pipe-laying vessel Audacia conversion project is a major challenge to our technical capabilities and service standards, and a crucial step toward entering the international high-end marine engineering ship conversion market. We are confident that we will successfully complete this conversion task with our solid technical preparations and advanced craftsmanship.”
Next, Zhoushan Daishan Changhong Ship Repair will proceed with the conversion of the Audacia in accordance with the established plan, demonstrating the outstanding capabilities of Changhong Ship Repair.
