On June 19, Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding successfully launched a 11,000DWT multi-purpose vessel (hull number: SF130216) built for a German shipowner at the company’s No. 3 slipway. It is the 10th vessel in the series.
The vessel has a total length of 149.95 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 143.05 meters, a beam of 23.20 meters, a depth of 10.5 meters, a designed draft of 8.50 meters, a speed of 15.5 knots, and is designed to be equipped with two 250-ton cranes. It is classed by the LR classification society.
Meanwhile, the vessel features a single fixed-pitch propeller driven by a low-speed diesel engine and is equipped with two 250-ton cranes, with a maximum combined lifting capacity of 500 tons.
In order to make cargo transportation more flexible and convenient, the most notable feature of this vessel is that the superstructure is arranged at the bow, and the cargo hold is designed to be open for loading. The depth of the cargo hold is also greatly deepened, so that the single cargo hold capacity and the open area of the open deck are maximized. In addition, the vessel is designed with two second decks, which can be adjusted and stacked in 9 positions above and below, greatly increasing the loading types of goods.
