On June 13, Taizhou Kouan shipbuilding officially delivered the seventh 62,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel in the series, the “De’an”, to China-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company (Chipolbrok).
De’an is the world’s largest multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel with a length of 199.9 meters, a width of 32.26 meters and a full-load draft of 13.5 meters. It is equipped with 4 heavy-lift cranes on the side, and the maximum lifting capacity of the joint crane is 300 tons. It can flexibly load various sizes of heavy equipment cargo.
In line with the new development trend of green, low-carbon and intelligent shipping industry, the EEDI index of this vessel meets Phase 3 and NOx meets Tier Ⅲ emission requirements. This type of vessel combines large deadweight tonnage and box-shaped structure design, with excellent cargo suitability and scale advantages in project material transportation.
During the construction of the De’an, the shipyard, classification society, and Chipolbrok supervision team worked closely together to ensure the smooth progress and efficient completion of all tasks. The construction time for the De’an was significantly shorter than that of its sister vessels, and delivery was 40 days ahead of schedule.
It is reported that the De’an will soon head to Taicang Port in Jiangsu Province, China, to load 12 sets of wind power equipment for export to the port of Adabiya in Egypt. After the De’an joins the fleet, China-Polish’s own fleet will reach 31 vessels, with a carrying capacity of over 1.2 million deadweight tons.
