New Times Shipbuilding Cuts Steel for Two Tankers

On June 11, New Times Shipbuilding held a steel cutting ceremony for two vessels: the 74th 73,500 DWT oil tanker and the 52nd 112,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel powered oil tanker. And the hull structural parts of the 74# 73,500 DWT oil tanker and the 52# 112,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel powered oil tanker began to be cut and prefabricated.

The 74#73500 DWT oil tanker is the second vessel in the series ordered by Greek shipowner Dynacom from New Times Shipbuilding. The tanker measures 224 meters in length, 32.2 meters in beam, and 20.8 meters in draft. It has a design draft of 12.2 meters, a structural draft of 14.5 meters, a cargo capacity of 85,000 cubic meters and a deadweight tonnage of 73,400 tons.

The 52#112500 DWT LNG dual-fuel powered oil tanker is the first vessel in the series ordered by Greek shipowner Capital from New Times Shipbuilding. The tanker has a total length of 249.9 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a depth of 21.5 meters, a design draft of 13.6 meters, a structural draft of 15.2 meters, a cargo capacity of 130,500 cubic meters and a deadweight of 112,500 tons.
