CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding Delivers a 63,500 DWT Bulk Carrier

On October 25th, PACIFIC TULIP, the first vessel of a new generation of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier series built by CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding for Huaxia Financial Leasing Co., was successfully signed and delivered. This vessel is the third newbuilding delivered by CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding this month, marking that the company has completed the task of delivering 16 vessels for the whole year 67 days ahead of schedule.

The vessel is the first vessel of the cooperation project of eight 63,500 DWT bulk carriers between CSTC, CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding and Huaxia Financial Leasing. And the vessel is a new generation of 63,500 DWT bulk carrier with overall length of 199.9 meters, beam of 32.26 meters, depth of 18.9 meters, design draft of 13.5 meters, service speed of 13.5 knots, which is an upgraded version of “Dolphin” 64,000 DWT bulk carrier with further optimization of structural lines, and significantly improved speed and wave resistance. With further optimized structure and line shape, the ship’s speed and wave resistance are significantly improved, meeting the third stage standard of ship energy efficiency index; equipped with vortex eliminating fins and front guide wheel energy saving device, the fuel consumption is lower, more energy saving and environmental protection.

It is reported that CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding has delivered 16 newbuildings this year, including 9 bulk carriers, 6 wood-chip carriers and 1 asphalt carrier, each of which is delivered on schedule and with high quality, and has been highly evaluated by the shipowners.
