On May 13, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) (“CMJL (Nanjing)”) successfully delivered the first 9,000 CEU class methanol-Ready PCTC “ANJI ANSHENG” built by SAIC Anji Logistics.

“Anji Ansheng” measures 228 meters in length, 37.8 meters in beam and has a maximum draft of 7.8 meters. With a capacity of 9,000 standard vehicle loading spaces, it is the first of 14 ocean-going transport vessels that SAIC Anji Logistics has invested RMB 10 billion to construct within three years. It is also SAIC Anji Logistics’ first 9,000 CEU methanol-ready PCTC. The construction of the vessel started in March 2024, with a single vessel cost of approximately RMB 640 million.

This series of vessels adopts a number of green innovative technologies, which will effectively promote the low-carbon transformation and development of the shipping industry and continuously consolidate the stability of the overseas logistics supply chain of Chinese automobile enterprises.

As previously reported, Anji Logistics and CMJL (Nanjing) has signed a contract in May 2023 for the construction of four 9,000 CEU methanol reserved PCTCs.
