Recently, China Merchants Industry Group Global Service Center was officially inaugurated in Hong Kong. The Global Service Center will strengthen communication with upstream and downstream partners, strive to provide shipowners with better and more complete after-sales services, and build a global service system with China Merchants’ characteristics.
Wu Sichuan, Chairman and General Manager of China Merchants Industry, delivered a speech and announced the official opening of the Global Service Center. In his speech, Mr. Wu expressed his sincere gratitude to The Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (CSNAME), shipowners and all partners.
He said that the construction of China Merchants Industry’s global service system will be based in China, centered in Hong Kong, and demanded globally. Relying on the global network resources of its subsidiary CM Energy Tech, it will undertake the three major functions of product after-sales service, procurement and technical support, and market maintenance and development, and gradually strengthen the service capabilities of the entire industrial chain of ship design, construction, modification and maintenance.
Wang Junli, Secretary General of CSNAME, said in his speech that he had long been looking forward to the establishment of the Global Service Center of China Merchants Industry. The Global Service Center aims to string beads into a chain and strengthen the industrial chain, reflecting the forward-looking and strategic vision for industrial development. He expects China Merchants Industry to actively innovate, fill in the gaps, create a “China Merchants Paradigm”, and promote the further development of the shipbuilding industry.
George Whist, customer representative of China Merchants Industry, expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the China Merchants Industry Global Service Center. He believed that global shipping was facing various challenges and every link was crucial. The establishment of the Global Service Center would provide strong support for shipowners. He looked forward to closer cooperation with China Merchants Industry in the future, jointly exploring a broader market and injecting new vitality into the development of the global shipping industry.
Currently, CM Energy Tech has localized branches in Singapore, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and other overseas locations, and has initially established a business foundation for providing global services.
