Breeze Awarded Design Contract for Multi-Purpose Support Vessel

Breeze Ship Design has recently signed a design contract with Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding for a new multi-purpose offshore support vessel (MPSV).

The MPSV will feature the innovative Z 4423 MPSV design, which meets the specific requirements and operating modes needed for complex offshore energy applications. The new vessel measures 88 meters in length and is equipped with a battery hybrid propulsion system, a moonpool, and accommodations for up to 60 people.

Designed with a focus on functionality and efficiency, the model is flexible enough to meet the needs of different marine operations, such as conventional platform supply services, light construction work, seismic and offshore wind power.

The new vessels will be built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding and are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2025. The order was placed by Norwegian shipping company Hercules Supply and includes options for two additional vessels of the same type. The delivery interval for the option vessels is approximately three months. UK-based Fletcher Group will operate the first production vessel commercially and technically.

“We are honored to be working with Fujian Mawei and Fletcher Group on this exciting project. Our team is dedicated to delivering a state-of-the-art vessel that combines exceptional performance, versatility, and safety,” says Ove Wilhemsen, CEO of Breeze Ship Design.
