Recently, the FGSS gas supply system project built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng Co. Ltd. of 7,500 DWT bulk carrier for China Yangtze Shipping Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully delivered.
This project includes adjustable self-pressurized gas supply system and 72.3m³ high vacuum winding LNG storage tank, which is the first complete gas supply system independently developed and launched by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Yangzhou) Dingheng. In terms of power, the ship is equipped with 2 sets of Weichai’s latest micro-injection gas main engines and 2 sets of pure gas generators, which reduces CO2 emissions by 20% and sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides by 100% compared with diesel power, and reduces carbon emissions by up to 60 tons per year.
The successful delivery of the FGSS gas supply system project signifies that Yangzhou Jinling has taken a new step forward in upgrading its product mix upgrade, being an innovative enterprise and building an ecosystem of “green technology”.
