On October 15, China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyard delivered the “PCC Hallasan” — the fourth 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC in the series built for PCC — 77 days ahead of the contractual delivery date. To date, China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyard has delivered a total of 10 PCTCs.

The vessel “PCC Hallasan” marks the completion of the first series of 7,000 CEU PCTCs built by China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyard.
Measuring 199.9 meters in length and 38 meters in beam, with a design draft of 8.6 meters and a service speed of 19 knots, the vessel features 12 vehicle decks. It has a total capacity of 7,000 passenger cars, with a configuration of both fixed and adjustable decks that significantly enhances cargo handling efficiency and the economic viability of the vessel’s operations.
Furthermore, the vessel is equipped with an advanced LNG dual-fuel system and a shaft generator system. By incorporating various eco-friendly technologies, it significantly reduces emissions of sulfur oxides, particulate matter, and carbon—meeting the International Maritime Organization’s Tier III emission standards—while offering the advantages of being economical, energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, and highly efficient.
