Dajin Heavy Industry Posts Record First-Half Profit as Offshore Exports Surge 544% in Cash Flow

On August 21, Dajin Heavy Industry released its “2026 Semi-Annual Report.” During the reporting period, Dajin Heavy Industries’ shipbuilding division officially entered the mainstream shipbuilding market, gaining recognition from several leading international shipowners, including those from the Netherlands, Greece, and Norway. Since securing its first order, Dajin Heavy Industries has signed contracts for a total of 24 new vessels, with a combined contract value of approximately 12 billion yuan (approximately $1.784 billion). The delivery period for these orders spans from 2027 to 2030.

The new ship orders primarily consist of large bulk carriers (211,000 DWT), including deck cargo ships and unpowered semi-submersible barges. Additionally, the company signed its first contract for a multi-purpose heavy-lift vessel, expanding its order portfolio into high-value-added specialty vessels.

In terms of revenue, in the first half of 2026, driven by an increase in offshore engineering export deliveries, Dajin Heavy Industry achieved operating revenue of 3.253 billion yuan (approximately $484 million), a year-over-year increase of 14.48%; net profit reached 601 million yuan (approximately $89 million), the highest on record for the same period, representing a year-over-year increase of 9.89%; Net cash flow from operating activities totaled 1.533 billion yuan (approximately $228 million), a year-over-year increase of 544.06%. Export revenue reached 2.675 billion yuan (approximately $398 million), accounting for 82.25% of total revenue—a 3.3-percentage-point increase year-over-year—as the value contribution of its core business, offshore engineering exports, continued to rise.
