Xingtong Shipping Reports Strong H1 2026 Results with Revenue Up 29% and Net Profit Surges 57%

On August 18, Xingtong Shipping released its 2026 interim report. During the reporting period, Xingtong Shipping generated operating revenue of approximately 1.019 billion yuan (approximately $152 million), a year-over-year increase of 29.36%; total profit was approximately 270 million yuan, up 57.99% year over year; and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was approximately 213 million yuan, up 57.11% year over year.

As of the end of June 2026, Xingtong Shipping’s net assets totaled approximately 6.328 billion yuan (approximately $941 million), while net assets attributable to shareholders of the listed company totaled approximately 3.43 billion yuan (approximately $510 million), representing a year-over-year increase of 1.58 percent.

The announcement discloses that, as of the end of the reporting period, Xingtong Shipping operated a fleet of 40 vessels for the transport of bulk liquid hazardous goods, with a total capacity of 506,800 deadweight tons (DWT). This fleet comprised 29 vessels (332,200 DWT) dedicated to domestic trade and 11 vessels (174,600 DWT) dedicated to foreign trade (excluding vessels licensed for both domestic and foreign trade); additionally, the company had 13 vessels under construction with a combined capacity of 219,700 DWT. By the end of the reporting period, Xingtong Shipping owned a total of 53 vessels (including those under construction), with an aggregate capacity of 726,500 DWT.

Regarding fleet composition, in the first half of 2026, Xingtong Shipping actively pursued a fleet renewal strategy, voluntarily disposing of two aging vessels. The 13,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker Shanbang and the 25,900 DWT methanol dual-fuel stainless steel chemical tanker XT WALRUS entered service. Additionally, the company signed contracts for a total of five new vessels: four 13,000 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers for foreign trade and one 25,900 DWT dual-fuel stainless steel chemical tanker.

As of the end of the reporting period, the average age of Xingtong Shipping’s chemical tanker fleet was only approximately 6.79 years, with stainless steel vessels accounting for as much as 76.47% of the fleet. The proportion of high-end stainless steel vessels consistently ranks among the highest in the industry, and the fleet’s overall age continues to decrease while operational efficiency steadily improves.

According to information on its official website, Xingtong Shipping was established in 1997 and is primarily engaged in the global maritime transport of bulk liquid dangerous goods, including chemicals, refined oil products, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It is a leading enterprise in China’s coastal chemical shipping industry.
