Titan Wind Secures $420M–$480M Order for Six 114K DWT Dual-Purpose Tankers

Recently, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Titan Wind’s offshore engineering division signed contracts with a subsidiary of a renowned international shipowner to build six 114,000 DWT dual-purpose product/crude oil tankers, with a total contract value of approximately US$420 million to US$480 million.

This marks yet another batch order secured by Titan Wind in the oil and gas vessel and offshore engineering construction sector—following an FPSO hull construction order won in May and contracts for four crude oil tankers signed in mid-July—signaling the accelerating growth of the company’s commercial shipbuilding business.

The 114,000 DWT dual-purpose product/crude oil tankers covered by this contract represent a mature, mainstay vessel type in the international oil transport market. Capable of carrying both crude oil and refined products, they are suitable for long-haul ocean transport of crude oil as well as regional trade in refined products; their design ensures excellent market flexibility and suitability for international routes. These vessels measure approximately 248.80 meters in length overall, 44.00 meters in beam, and 21.50 meters in depth, and they comply with IMO Tier III emission standards. The design balances route adaptability with cargo-loading flexibility, and the six vessels are scheduled for phased delivery between 2028 and 2029.

Since 2026, Titan Wind’s oil and gas vessel division has secured construction contracts for a total of 10 Aframax-class tankers—including 4 crude oil tankers and 6 dual-purpose refined product/crude oil tankers—as well as an order for the construction of one FPSO hull, bringing the cumulative total of oil and gas vessel and offshore engineering construction orders to 11. The two batches of tanker orders cover both crude oil tankers and dual-purpose refined oil/crude oil tankers, with delivery periods spanning 2028 to 2029. These orders will have a positive impact on the company’s future revenue and profits and will help enhance its medium- to long-term market competitiveness and profitability.

In addition, since 2026, Titan Wind has continued to secure orders for commercial vessels, FSOs (floating storage and offloading units), FPSOs (floating production, storage, and offloading units), as well as offshore wind jacket structures and monopiles, establishing a business model that simultaneously advances three product categories: offshore wind equipment, floating offshore engineering equipment, and commercial transport vessels.

The signing of this block order for dual-purpose refined oil/crude oil tankers demonstrates that Titan Wind’s oil and gas offshore engineering business has earned high recognition from shipowners and project owners for its high-quality construction and on-time delivery, further solidifying the company’s position in the oil and gas vessel sector. Leveraging its manufacturing capabilities and geographical advantages, Titan Wind will continue to expand its presence in domestic and international shipbuilding and offshore engineering markets, while steadily advancing its strategic transition from onshore wind power equipment to offshore equipment manufacturing.
