Wison New Energies Signs EPCIC Contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for Baleine Phase 3 FPSO

Wison New Energies has officially signed the EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning) contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility for the Baleine Phase 3 offshore oil and gas field in Côte d’Ivoire. The contract marks Wison’s continued involvement from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through to EPCIC execution, demonstrating its end-to-end delivery capabilities for global offshore oil and gas development. It also represents an important milestone for Wison in the FPSO sector.

The Baleine Phase 3 project is being developed by Eni in Côte d’Ivoire, with Altera Infrastructure as owner and operator of the FPSO facility. Altera Infrastructure was also previously involved as a contractor for redeployment of the FPSO and FSO installed in Baleine Phase 2.

The FPSO facility will operate at water depths of approximately 800–1,200 meters. It is designed to process up to 90,000 barrels of oil per day, 80,000 barrels of produced water per day, and 160 MMSCFD of natural gas, with a design life of no less than 20 years. The unit will measure approximately 308 meters in length, 57 meters in breadth, and 29.8 meters in depth. This FPSO facility will serve as critical infrastructure to support the efficient development of regional oil and gas resources.

“This contract underscores the confidence of international clients in our engineering capabilities, project execution, and supply chain management,” said Ms. Cheng Yuanyun, CEO of Wison New Energies. “Wison will leverage its mature project management framework and integrated delivery capabilities to ensure the successful execution of the project.”

Building on the Baleine Phase 3 FPSO project, Wison New Energies will further strengthen its FPSO EPCIC capabilities, providing safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions for global energy development and the transition to a lower-carbon future.
