Hengli Heavy Industries announced on its official WeChat account that on May 29, the shipbuilder held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 13th 82,000 DWT bulk carrier built for the shipowner DYNACOM. The new vessel was named “PAXOS.” This marks the fourth new vessel delivered by Hengli Heavy Industries in three consecutive days.

DYNACOM is one of Hengli Heavy Industries’ first overseas shipowners and key partners. To date, Hengli Heavy Industries has delivered two 306,000 DWT VLCCs and thirteen 82,000 DWT bulk carriers to DYNACOM.
On May 28, Hengli Heavy Industries held a grand naming ceremony for the seventh 82,000 DWT bulk carrier it built for Greece’s Laskaridis Maritime.
On the same day, Hengli Heavy Industries delivered the first 82,000 DWT bulk carrier to Greece’s Oceanbulk. The vessel was delivered just seven days after the completion of sea trials.
On May 27, Hengli Heavy Industries held a naming and delivery ceremony for an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier. The new vessel was named “MIRANDA,” marking the second vessel of this type delivered by Hengli Heavy Industries to the shipowner Efnav this month.
Additionally, on May 27, Hengli Heavy Industries’ No. 2 dry dock launched four new vessels on the same day: one 306,000 DWT VLCC, two 82,000 DWT bulk carriers, and one 114,000 DWT LR2 tanker. Dock No. 2 will subsequently welcome two 21,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships, marking Hengli Heavy Industries’ entry into the mass production phase of ultra-large container ships.

Currently, Hengli Heavy Industries’ production capacity is nearing full utilization. Key production facilities, including core slipways, block workshops, final assembly areas, and outfitting workshops, are all operating at full capacity on an ongoing basis, with production schedules for the core slipways already booked for the next 3–4 years.
Hengli Heavy Industries has invested 13.5 billion yuan to launch three major Phase III shipbuilding capacity expansion projects. Once these projects are completed, the facility will further expand its production capacity. At that time, the shipyard will have the capacity to simultaneously construct 10 vessels under 200,000 DWT and 12 vessels over 200,000 DWT, for a total of 22 berths.
