On May 24, Dajin Heavy Industry, a leading exporter of offshore equipment, announced that it had formally signed a contract with the renowned Dutch shipowner JUMBO Marine for the construction of two high-end heavy-lift vessels, with a total contract value of approximately 1.069 billion yuan (approximately $158 million).

Securing its first order for an offshore heavy-lift vessel from a leading European shipowner is undoubtedly a milestone and a crucial step for Dajin Heavy Industry as it expands into international markets.
The vessels covered by this contract are a new generation of green, intelligent, high-end models equipped with two 1,200-ton heavy-lift cranes; when operating in tandem, their combined maximum lifting capacity reaches 2,400 tons. With excellent deadweight capacity, robust lifting performance, and broad applicability, the vessels comply with DNV specifications and clean energy shipping standards. They are capable of meeting the operational requirements for heavy equipment handling in offshore wind power projects and deep-sea engineering construction. The first vessel is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2028, with subsequent deliveries to follow.
Founded in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1968, Jumbo Marine possesses extensive operational experience in offshore heavy lifting and installation, and has maintained a long-standing industrial partnership with Dajin Heavy Industry. With offshore vessel construction serving as a new starting point for their collaboration, the two companies will engage in comprehensive cooperation across shipbuilding, offshore wind turbine installation, and the implementation of projects in Europe, aiming to establish a stable, complementary, and mutually beneficial long-term partnership.

Successful Entry into the European Offshore Wind Installation Sector
The fact that Dajin Heavy Industry has signed a contract with the Dutch company Jumbo serves as a powerful endorsement of its technical capabilities. Jumbo is a global leader in offshore heavy transport and installation, with a long history of serving international energy giants and extremely rigorous standards for supplier selection. Being selected by a company of this caliber and signing a long-term agreement demonstrates that Dajin Heavy Industry’s design capabilities, construction processes, and quality management system have met the highest European standards.
Dajin Heavy Industry stated that this agreement clarifies the core positioning of its shipbuilding business: rather than simply accepting shipbuilding orders, the company aims to leverage its independent shipbuilding capabilities to support the self-reliance and control of the entire global wind power industry chain, thereby achieving multiple benefits including strategic supply chain security, integrated customer services, and steady growth in the shipbuilding business.
Upon delivery, the vessels will primarily support the submersion, transport, and on-site operations of Dajin Heavy Industry’s floating wind power foundations in Europe. This will not only ensure the stability and efficiency of Dajin Heavy Industry’s global supply chain deliveries but also provide customers with one-stop engineering services, while simultaneously promoting the sound operation of the shipbuilding division and fostering a collaborative development model that benefits all parties.
This signing marks the beginning of a long-term industrial partnership between the two parties. Future collaboration will expand to cover the entire value chain, including offshore vessel construction, offshore wind power projects, and deep-sea equipment services. This is also a key step for the company in advancing its integrated strategy of “equipment manufacturing + shipbuilding + offshore engineering” and solidifying its business foundation in Europe.
The only Chinese offshore wind company to transition from “exporting products” to “exporting capabilities”

In the field of offshore wind power, Dajin Heavy Industry is no longer merely a product exporter; it has transformed into China’s only system service provider deeply embedded in the global offshore wind power supply chain. Its core value lies in having successfully achieved a qualitative leap from “exporting products” to “exporting capabilities.”
Dajin Heavy Industry is the first supplier in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve large-scale exports of monopiles to Europe, and has quickly established itself as a market leader. In the first half of 2025 (its third year in the European market), the company topped the European offshore wind monopile market with a 29.1% share, up from just 18.5% in 2024. This advantage is directly reflected in the company’s financial performance: In 2025, its overseas revenue surged 165.3% year-over-year to 4.6 billion yuan, accounting for 74.5% of total revenue, with gross profit contribution reaching 81.1%. This signifies that the company has fully transformed into a global enterprise driven by high-value-added overseas operations.
