Guangzhou Shipyard International Achieves High-Quality Growth in the First Quarter, Getting Off to a Strong Start

In the first quarter of 2026, CSSC Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited thoroughly studied and implemented the guidelines of the CSSC Annual Work Conference and the Party Building Work Conference. The company firmly upheld the general principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability and improving quality and efficiency, and fully implemented the Group’s “1-1-7-8” overall requirements and “1-1-6-2” Party building work arrangements. By using high-quality Party building to chart the course and break through bottlenecks, the company mobilized the tremendous energy of all employees to achieve a strong start to the year in the first quarter, with significant year-on-year increases in operating revenue, profit, and new orders.

In the first quarter, Guangzhou Shipyard International closely monitored opportunities arising from the global shipping industry’s green transition and structural upgrades. By fully leveraging its strengths in high-end vessel R&D and brand reputation, and collaborating with CSSC Trading to deeply engage with major international shipowners, the company secured a series of major orders. Both the volume and quality of orders received improved, setting a new historical high.

Notable achievements included signing and executing an order for 10 50,000-ton MR product tankers with Greek shipowner Central Group; securing a follow-on order for two 50,000-ton chemical/product tankers with Germany’s Leonhardt & Blumberg; and signing a construction contract for two next-generation ro-ro passenger ships with Scotland’s Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL). This rapid influx of orders for high-tech, high-value-added vessels has not only optimized Guangzhou Shipyard International’s product portfolio but also laid a solid foundation for future sustainable development.

In the first quarter, Guangzhou Shipyard International coordinated resources and optimized production schedules, uniting efforts to ensure timely deliveries. By precisely managing the pace of the entire production process, the company achieved a dual leap in both construction efficiency and quality, completing the delivery of a total of nine new vessels. The delivered vessels included core products such as MR-type oil tankers, LR-type oil tankers, PCTC car carriers, large container ships, and high-end ro-ro passenger ships. During the construction process, multiple vessel types consecutively broke speed records for their respective classes, fully demonstrating the company’s cutting-edge technical capabilities, lean management standards, and robust contract fulfillment capacity in the “Three Excellence, Three Specialty” vessel segments. Guangzhou Shipyard International vigorously promoted the integration of shipbuilding and repair operations; its subsidiary, Wenchong Ship Repair, completed the repair of the LNG carrier “Dana Puti,” achieving full coverage of LNG vessel repair services and taking a milestone step forward in the field of high-end green ship repair.

Standing at a new starting point, Guangzhou Shipyard International will remain steadfast in its goal of accelerating the development of a world-class shipbuilding enterprise, The company will strive with vigor and courage, focusing on enhancing the four key areas of innovation:technological innovation, product innovation, business model innovation, and industrial synergy.
