On March 5, Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (SHGSIC), in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 115,000 DWT Aframax crude oil tanker “Kaiper”, built for China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES).
It is understood that the vessel “Kaiper” can carry more than 800,000 barrels of crude oil products in its cargo hold, and its main engine and generator both meet the highest emission standards of the International Maritime Organization Tier III.
The main engine and generators utilize HPSCR and LPSCR systems respectively, offering superior maneuverability, economic performance, and energy-saving environmental protection capabilities compared to similar vessels. This provides strong market competitiveness. The vessel is classified by ABS and flies the Liberian flag.
