On February 11, HudongZhonghua Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), signed a batch procurement agreement with CSSC Marine Power for 64 sets of multiple types of main engines.

Under the agreement, the two parties will conduct early communication during the product research and development phase to ensure precise alignment between main engine design and shipbuilding requirements. They will maintain close coordination in production and manufacturing to guarantee an efficient and smooth supply chain and on-time product delivery.
A long-term cooperation mechanism will also be established for technology upgrading and after-sales service, jointly improving the overall performance and operational efficiency of vessels.
It is understood that the new dual-fuel main engines procured in this batch will be primarily equipped on high-end ship types such as large LNG carriers and ultra-large container ships. Through joint technical research, both parties have optimized the integration solution between the main engine and the ship system, effectively reducing carbon emissions, helping Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding strengthen its green shipbuilding brand, and reinforcing the company’s leading advantage in the high-end ship main engine market.
This collaboration is also an important step for both parties to deepen internal synergy and integrate resource advantages. Through bulk procurement and long-term cooperation, Hudong-Zhonghua further ensures a stable supply and cost optimization of key equipment, while CSSC Marine Power also gains sustainable order support, jointly enhancing the core competitiveness of my country’s high-end ships and green power equipment.
