CSSC Chengxi Shipyard Delivers “CS FUJAIRAH”, Kicks Off 2026 with Four Newbuilds in One Week

On January 9, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), held the naming and delivery ceremony for the 16th 50,000 DWT MR oil/chemical tanker “CS FUJAIRAH”, built for CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited and Seacon Shipping Group Holdings Limited.

The CS FUJAIRAH is the first MR oil/chemical tanker built by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard for CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company and Seacon Shipping Group. It features green environmental performance, large cargo capacity, and excellent operability, with leading performance and fuel consumption metrics. This vessel is the first 50,000 DWT MR oil/chemical tanker constructed on the floating dock shipbuilding line at CSSC Chengxi Shipyard.

This vessel also marks the fourth newly built vessel delivered by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard within just one week since 2026, accelerating its momentum for the new year through concrete actions.

On January 6, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard formally delivered two 84,500 DWT dry bulk carriers, the CSPC LIBRA and CSPC SCORPIO, built for CITIC Financial Leasing. On January 7, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard successfully signed over and delivered the 37th 82,600DWT bulk carrier, the OKEANIS, built for Greece’s NEDA, which then set sail smoothly.
