Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has established comprehensive advantages in product systematization, standardization, and scale in the design and construction of container ships, achieving full spectrum coverage from 1,000 TEU to 9,200 TEU container ship classes. Since its market launch in 2020, the “SWAN” series container ships have secured cumulative orders for over 80 vessels, recognized for their outstanding economic efficiency, environmental performance, and reliability.

In 2025, Huangpu Wenchong achieved a major breakthrough in its independently developed brand system, officially launching its new self-developed “WHALE” brand 82,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier, which obtained the Approval in Principle (AIP) certificate from China Classification Society (CCS).

The company advanced the commercialization of its independently developed 5,000 TEU medium-sized container ship product line, securing multiple consecutive batch orders and bulk purchase agreements. This ship type has become a globally recognized flagship model in the medium-sized container ship market.

In the specialized vessel sector, Huangpu Wenchong has successfully secured the contract for the construction of the “Surface Support Mother Ship” under the National Major Scientific and Technological Infrastructure Project for Cold Seep Ecosystem Research at the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. This achievement marks a significant breakthrough in the construction of high-tech, highly complex strategic-level scientific research platforms.

Additionally, the successful securing of an order for 20,000 m³ LNG bunkering vessels from Singapore’s Singfar Group has created a new growth driver in the clean energy vessel sector.

Maintaining its leading position in the asphalt carrier market, Huangpu Wenchong has secured orders for multiple high-end asphalt carriers from COSCO Shipping, further solidifying its competitive edge in this market.
