Dutch shipbuilder Neptune Marine announced via social media that it has signed a letter of intent with Spain’s Zumaia Offshore for the construction of a new multi-purpose offshore support vessel (OSV).

The new vessel, named “Saskia B,” is 59 meters long and 18 meters wide. Equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system, it is a multi-functional maritime support vessel.
According to incomplete statistics, including the latest order, Neptune Marine has publicly announced two new vessels this year.
In April this year, Neptune Marine announced that it had secured an order from Dutch subsea services and vessel operator N-Sea for one methanol-ready multi-purpose cable laying vessel. The new vessel will be constructed in Poland, with delivery to the Netherlands scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. Installation and commissioning are planned for the second quarter of 2026.
According to its official website, Neptune Marine has over 50 years of operational history, with core business encompassing the design, construction, repair, modification, and leasing of offshore vessels. Its services span the offshore, renewable energy, marine infrastructure and aquaculture sectors.
