Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding Launches First 24,000 TEU LNG-Powered Giant for CMA CGM

Recently, the first 24,000TEU dual-fuel powered container ship built by Jiangsu Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, for the French shipping group CMA CGM was successfully launched and safely berthed at the No. 1 Pier of Yangzi Xinfu Shipbuilding.

The ship measures 399.9 meters in length overall, 61.3 meters in beam, and 33.5 meters in depth. It is equipped with an 18,600 cubic meter MARK III membrane-type fuel tank, enabling a single LNG bunkering to provide an ultra-long range of nearly 20,000 nautical miles per voyage—easily covering the entire route from the Far East to Europe.

Compared to traditional fuel-powered container ships, it reduces carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 20% and significantly cuts sulfur oxide and particulate matter emissions by 99%, making it one of the most advanced green vessels currently available on the global market.
