Recently, SINOPEC Offshore OILFIELD Services Company officially announced that Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding has been awarded the contract for its 2025 LNG dual-fuel support vessel renewal and construction project, valued at RMB 127.37 million (approximately US$17.87 million).
Previously, Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding also secured an order for one LNG dual-fuel command and telemetry vessel for the reusable rocket marine recovery system, with a single-vessel contract value of RMB 457 million (approximately US$64 million). Delivery is scheduled for late 2026. This marks the largest single-vessel business order secured by Jiangxin Shipbuilding since it joined Jiangxi Military Industry Holding.
It is understood that Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding formerly known as Tongfang Jiangxin Shipbuilding held an unveiling ceremony on December 27, 2023, following its rebranding. As a medium-sized ship repair and construction enterprise, it has now become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangxi Military Industry Holding.
The shipyard covers an area of over 330,000 square meters with a building area of 77,000 square meters. It operates multiple production lines and possesses the capability to build various types of vessels under 20,000 DWT, with an annual shipbuilding capacity of 100,000 DWT. The facility has constructed multiple types of vessels including government service vessels, container ships, dredgers, product tankers, chemical tankers, car carriers, platform supply vessels, and anchor handling tug supply vessels.
