Recently, Jiangnan Shipyard welcomes the fifth batch of vessels to be launched from Dock No. 4 this year. The two 99,000 m³ VLECs launched in this batch are both scheduled for delivery within the year.
99,000 m³ VLEC
As the third vessel in the 99,000 m³ VLEC 2.0 version series built by Jiangnan Shipyard for Southwest Maritime Limied, this VLEC continues the construction experience of the previous vessel. For the first time prior to launching, the vessel simultaneously completed generator mooring trials, boiler ignition commissioning, and rudder motor commissioning; concluded external fuel injection for the main engine; extensively conducted mooring trials in the engine room area; and completed power-up commissioning for a total of 37 auxiliary safety systems.
99,000 m³ VLEC
This vessel is the first of the 99,000 m³ VLEC Version 2.0 series, constructed by Jiangnan Shipyard for Pacific Gas. Guided by the philosophy of “each vessel better than the last,” Jiangnan Shipyard has implemented a series of advancements throughout the construction process. The engine room area saw the initiation of engine commissioning during the dock phase, while the steering gear room achieved full scaffolding removal upon completion of steering gear installation. The entire main deck lighting system has been activated, and mooring tests have been conducted on a large scale during the dock phase for the first time. Additionally, dockside mooring tests for deck machinery and the hoisting of deep-well pumps within the dock have been successfully completed. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for shortening the terminal stay period and ensuring on-time delivery within the year.
99,000 m³ VLEC
As the fourth vessel in the series of 99,000 m³ 2.0 version VLECs built by Jiangnan Shipyard for Southwest Maritime, the vessel achieved the following milestones prior to floating out. Before the vessel was floated, four cargo holds were formed, two liquid tanks were installed, and the engine room was formed, with outfitting completion rate of 94%, ensuring that the engine room could be repainted as soon as possible after floating; at the same time, the integrity of each area of the deck area was promoted.
9000 CEU PCTC
As a 9,000 CEU PCTC built by Jiangnan Shipyard for Anji Logistics, the vessel has completed main engine hoisting, shafting and propeller installation, and structural work below the fifth deck during the dock phase.
