GTT Receives Order from SHI for Tank Design of Four New LNG Carriers

On 17 September, GTT announces that it has received, during the third quarter of 2025, an order from the shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for the tank design of four new LNG Carriers.

GTT will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessels, each offering a total capacity of 174,000 m³ and equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, developed by GTT.

The delivery of the vessels is scheduled from 2028 onwards.

This marks the second design contract disclosed by GTT and Samsung Heavy Industries this month. On September 9, GTT announced it would provide liquid cargo tank design for a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility being constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries. This FLNG unit, destined for deployment in Africa, will feature cargo tanks with a total capacity of 238,700 cubic meters. GTT will design the cryogenic membrane liquid cargo tank system using its proprietary Mark III technology.
