Guangzhou Shipyard International Launches Dual-Fuel PCTCs

On September 5, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSSC) Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) launched two dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs): the second 7,000 CEU PCTC built for COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, and the third 8,600 CEU PCTC built for H-LINE Shipping. Additionally, Guangzhou Shipyard International has completed the half-floating of one dual-fuel container ship and one 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC.

It is understood that for the second 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC built for COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, the entire ship’s air duct insulation galvanized iron sheet project has been completed and all scaffolding has been dismantled during the dock phase.

For the third 8,600 CEU PCTC built for H-LINE Shipping, the painting work of the entire ship’s garage has been finished, the laying and inspection of all on-board cables have been completed, and the fire alarm system has also undergone inspection during the dock phase.

It is understood that for the second 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC built for COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, the entire vessel’s air duct insulation galvanized iron sheet project has been completed and all scaffolding has been dismantled during the dock phase.

H-LINE’s third 8,600 CEU dual-fuel PCTC has finished painting all vehicle garage, completed cable installation inspections and submitted fire alarm system inspections during the docking phase.

MSC’s eightth 16,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship completed the installation of its B-type fuel tank prior to launching, paving the way for rapid outfitting of the vessel.

This batch of launches is a vivid practice of GSI’s vigorous promotion of lean management and improvement of production efficiency, laying a solid foundation for the full completion of annual production and operation tasks and goals.
