The completion of this new order marks the continuous improvement of the century-old shipbuilder’s product portfolio in the field of high-end specialty liquid cargo vessels, achieving a new breakthrough in the scale and serialization of development in this sector. It will also further promote the company’s continued expansion in high-value-added vessels such as car carriers, asphalt carriers and bulk carriers, laying a solid foundation for expanding into the international market.

The 9,000 DWT specialty liquid cargo vessel, with its unique cargo characteristics and stringent safety and environmental requirements, represents a significant demonstration of the shipbuilding industry’s technological prowess. Fujian Shipbuilding’s undertaking of this project is a testament to its century-long shipbuilding heritage, strong technical expertise, and outstanding construction management capabilities.

This cooperation fully demonstrates the deepening collaboration between central and local enterprises in the field of high-end shipping equipment manufacturing and operation, and jointly explores the huge potential of the special vessel market. It will contribute to promoting the upgrading of the marine equipment industry chain and ensuring national maritime transportation safety.

This collaboration is a vivid example of Fujian Shipbuilding and COSCO Shipping Development (Hainan) responding to China’s call for maritime development and serving the region’s major development strategies. The two parties will leverage this agreement to further deepen their collaboration in high-end shipbuilding, shipping logistics, and other areas, jointly writing a new chapter of maritime development and mutually beneficial cooperation.
