Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Delivers Sixth QatarEnergy LNG Carrier

On July 30, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding signed and delivered the 174,000 cbm LNG carrier AL MAS’HABIYYAH, built for the QatarEnergy Project. This is the sixth LNG carrier delivered by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for the QatarEnergy Project, bringing the total number of LNG carriers delivered by the company to 51.

MAS’HABIYYAH is a fifth-generation “Changheng” series LNG carrier independently designed, developed, and built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding. The vessel is 299 meters in length, 46.4 meters in width, and 26.25 meters in depth.

It features the latest twin-skeg hull design and is equipped with numerous low-carbon and digital technologies and equipment. Incorporating the latest design concepts, cutting-edge technology, and the highest environmental performance, MAS’HABIYYAH provides strong equipment support for the global energy transportation industry. It is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the China Classification Society (CCS).

Notably, the vessel entered service today (July 31).
