On July 29, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding successfully launched the 18,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel (Hull No.H1930A) built for France’s TotalEnergies, marking a new stage in the construction of the vessel.
This vessel is a newly upgraded 3.0 version of a membrane LNG bunkering vessel built by Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding for TotalEnergies, following the successful delivery of the “Gas Agility” and “Gas Vitality”.
The vessel is 135.9 meters long, 24.5 meters wide, and has a designed speed of 12 knots. It utilizes the GTT MARK III FLEX liquid cargo containment system, boasting a cargo hold capacity of 18,600 cubic meters and a boil-off rate as low as 0.16% per day. It is currently the world’s largest and most efficient membrane LNG bunkering vessel. The vessel incorporates a wide range of green and clean technologies, offering enhanced ship-shore compatibility, lower energy consumption and emissions and enhanced energy conservation and environmental protection.
Previously, the V1.0 “Gas Agility” and V2.0 “Gas Vitality”, delivered by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, have become TotalEnergies’ mainstream vessels in the LNG bunkering sector. Both vessels have completed numerous LNG bunkering missions and even bunkered a 23,000 TEU dual-fuel ultra-large container ship built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for CMA CGM. Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding will continue to strengthen its commitment to high-end green ship design and construction, providing more clean, environmentally friendly, and efficient green shipping solutions to global customers.
