On July 23, Zhoushan Xinqi Heavy Industry, Shandong Hengqiang Shipping and Zhoushan Hengyao Shipping held a signing ceremony for the construction contract of 4+4 1056TEU container ships. This signing demonstrated the profound heritage and strength of Zhoushan Xinqi Heavy Industry in the field of container ship construction, and also reflected the determination and goal of Shandong Hengqiang Shipping to further cultivate the container feeder market.
This series of ships are international feeder container ships that meet the latest IACS E26/E27 cybersecurity standards. They are designed to carry 1,056 TEUs of containers, including 120 TEUs of refrigerated containers. They are 136.8 meters long, 23.3 meters wide, 11.2 meters deep, with a maximum speed of 16.3 knots and a maximum deadweight of 12,000 DWT.
The successful signing of the contract for the construction of 4+4 1056TEU container ships (JXQ0029~JXQ0036) is another important breakthrough for Zhoushan Xinqi Heavy Industry in addition to the batch orders of stainless steel oil and chemical tankers and batch MPP multi-purpose bulk carriers, which strongly confirms the construction strength and market competitiveness of the company’s equipment and facilities and its production management team.
