On October 26th, 2023, China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC) together with Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (QBS) delivered one 210,000 DWT LNG Dual Fuel Bulk Carrier, named “HL FUTURE” to H-line Shipping (H-line).
The 210,000 DWT LNG Dual Fuel Bulk Carrier is designed by China Ship Design & Research Center Co., Ltd.. Based on the design of the conventional powered 210,000 DWT Bulk Carrier, it is equipped with LNG dual-fuel ME-GI main engines and two 3000m3 LNG tanks, which effectively reduces carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions and improves the economy and environmental protection of the ship. It is also the masterpiece of QBS product transformation and upgrade.
H-Line, CSTC, and QBS have successfully collaborated on a groundbreaking project. This project marks a significant milestone, with the delivery of the first LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier by QBS. This achievement not only marks breakthrough of QBS in dual-fuel vessel construction but also sets a solid foundation for future deliveries and obtaining orders of dual-fuel vessels.
