On June 15, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Guangxi Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering (“CSSC Guangxi Shipbuilding”) and China Shipbuilding Trading Co. Ltd (CSTC) successfully signed the delivery contract for the fourth 693TEU container ship built in batch for PT.MERATUS LINE.
It is understood that this type of ship has a total length of 124.4 meters, a beam of 22.8 meters, a depth of 8.4 meters with a designed speed of 11 knots, a draft of 6.3 meters, a deadweight of 10,743.7 tons. And it is classed by the Classification Society Registro Italiano Navale (RINA).
The ship will be mainly deployed in Indonesian waters and on feeder routes to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, etc., for the transport of various types of standard containers.
