On June 15, China Merchants Industry Qingdao Shipyard delivered the second 82,000 DWT bulk carrier built for Norway’s SeaTankers.
This is another key milestone for the company in the construction of this series of vessels, following the delivery of the first vessel on May 24, marking the entry of the project into the mature mass production stage.
Compared with the first vessel, the second vessel has achieved improvements in delivery quality. China Merchants Industry Qingdao Shipyard steadily improved shipbuilding efficiency and quality throughout the construction process by formulating detailed construction plans and optimizing the coordination processes between various departments.
After sea trials, the vessel fully met the shipowner’s requirements in terms of fuel economy, navigational stability, and other indicators, winning praise from the shipowner and ship inspectors.
