Changhong International Completes Landmark 112,615-Ton Ship Block Project for Samsung Heavy Industries

Recently, Zhoushan Daishan Changhong Ship Repair was awarded an official plaque of appreciation for its outstanding performance in a cooperative project with South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries.

On May 26, Samsung Heavy Industries formally sent a letter to Zhoushan Changhong International to express its heartfelt gratitude.

It is understood that back in March 2022, Changhong International signed a contract with Samsung Heavy Industries for the manufacture of large integrated ship blocks. The total volume of the project reached 112,615 tons, covering more than 1,000 blocks.

Facing massive workloads and the complex challenges of first-time collaboration, Zhoushan Changhong relied on its cutting-edge technical strength and efficient project management capabilities to steadily advance the project progress.

In these three years (2022-2025),Zhoushan Changhong International worked closely with the Samsung Heavy Industries’ project team, overcame technical difficulties with professionalism, and responded to delivery pressure with resilience. Finally, it successfully completed the manufacturing of all blocks and became a qualified block subcontractor of Samsung Heavy Industries.
