On April 22, Fu Xuyin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport, met with Remi Eriksen, Global CEO and President of Det Norske Veritas (DNV), in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics of common interest such as energy transition and energy security in shipping.
Fu Xuyin pointed out that DNV is a professional maritime consulting and authoritative certification organization, which maintains close cooperation with relevant organizations and enterprises in China. He hoped that DNV would continuously strengthen its cooperation with Chinese partners in the sustainable development of shipping, and jointly utilize its technical advantages to contribute to the development of the shipping industry and better serve global trade.
Remi Eriksen introduced the business of DNV, and expressed his willingness to work with relevant Chinese enterprises and institutions to continuously promote the development of decarbonization and digitalization of shipping and to make positive contributions to the response to global climate change and environmental issues.
