On September 5, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), made a triumphant trial voyage for the first 79,800 m3 Mark III membrane-type LNG carrier built for Guangdong Jiufeng Energy Group Co.
As reported, the ship started its sea trial on August 31st.
The ship has an overall length of 229.99 meters, a beam of 36 meters, a depth of 21.5 meters, a design draught of 9.8 meters, a structural draught of 10.6 meters, and a full tank capacity of 79,800 m3.
The vessel was designed and built independently by Jiangnan Shipbuilding. It is the first LNG carrier in China adopting GTT Mark III film-type liquid cargo tanks.And it is the “Sino-Flex” type customized by Jiangnan Shipbuilding for domestic LNG transporters.
