Recently, Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Dajin Heavy Industry”), a subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, successfully signed a general contracting contract for 6 65-meter anchor tug and Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, making new progress in the expansion of the offshore engineering market.
The design and development of the 65-meter AHTS vessel is undertaken by another subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology. It uses electric propulsion and is equipped with fully rotating propellers, bow and stern thrusters, and a DP-2 dynamic positioning system. It has a strong towing capacity and is capable of towing large structures such as offshore drilling platforms and FPSOs; it is equipped with equipment such as anchor winches and can efficiently complete anchoring operations; it has the ability to carry large amounts of materials and can provide supplies for offshore platforms; some vessels have rescue and guarding functions and are equipped with fire-fighting and life-saving equipment to ensure operational safety.
As a new generation of AHTS vessel, it has the following features:
- Intelligentization: Equipped with INF (data platform), SHM (ship structure health monitoring), and MHM (mechanical health monitoring), significantly enhancing the intelligentization level of ship operation management.
- Cybersecurity: Meet the network resilience requirements of IACS UR E26 ships, UR E27 ship systems and equipment, and obtain CR cybersecurity certification.
- Comprehensive operational capabilities: Features large loading capacity, good seaworthiness, and maneuverability, while also offering environmental benefits.
This cooperation fully demonstrates the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) general contracting capability of Dajin Heavy Industry’s EPC Offshore Engineering Center, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bestway Marine & Energy Technology, which can provide full-process services ranging from design and construction to after-sales support.
Bestway Marine & Energy Technology will take this signing as an important opportunity to further cultivate the offshore engineering market. With advanced ship products, a sound service system and outstanding technical strength, it will promote the development of regional marine economy.
