On December 29th, China Classification Society (CCS) Dalian Branch issued AIP Certificate of Approval-in-Principle (AIP) for three scientific and technological R&D projects of COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian Company.
The three projects are a 9,000 m3 LNG dual-fuel ethylene multipurpose vessel, a new 88,000 m3 LPG dual-fuel VLGC and an LPG dual-fuel retrofit of the main engine of an existing VLGC vessel.
It is learned that the certifications of the three ship research projects signifies that COSCO Shipping Investment Dalian can realize stronger cargo-carrying performance as well as better energy-saving and emission reduction of the ships.
