Recently, Jiangsu New Times Shipbuilding has successively welcomed the launching of three vessels, which are a 7, 000 TEU container ship, a 210, 000 DWT dual-fuel powered bulk carrier and a 13, 000 TEU container ship.
On December 9, the 7000 TEU container ship and 210,000 DWT dual-fuel powered bulk carrier sailed out of the dock one after another. The owner of these two vessels is Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. (EPS), which has ordered four 110,000 DWT oil tankers and eleven 210,000 DWT dual-fuel-powered bulk carriers, seven 7,000 TEU container vessels, six 50,000 DWT chemical tankers and two 155,500 DWT dual-fuel-powered oil tankers from New Times Shipbuilding. The vessels launched this time are the 3rd and 10th vessels in the series of 7,000 TEU container ships and 210,000 DWT dual-fuel powered bulk carriers respectively.
The 7,000 TEU container ship has an overall length of 272.5 meters, a beam of 42.8 meters, a depth of 24.6 meters, a design draught of 13 meters, a structural draught of 15 meters and a deadweight tonnage of 84,000.
Dual-fuel powered bulk carrier of 210,000 DWT has an overall length of 299.95m, an inter-column length of 294.75m, a beam of 50.00m, a depth of 25.20m, a design draught of 18.40m and a structural draught of 18.48m. The cargo hold capacity of the ship including oil and residue tanks is 222,000cbm and the deadweight tonnage is 210,000.
On December 10, 2023, the launching ceremony of one 13,000 TEU Container Vessel bearing builder’s hull no.0213003 has been carried out successfully by New Times Shipbuilding.
The vessel has an overall length of 335 meters, a length of 325 meters between the two columns, a beam of 51 meters, a depth of 27.3 meters, a design draught of 13 meters, a structural draught of 16 meters, an air height (above the datum line) of less than 65 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 139,550 tons (under structural draught).
It is reported that the owner Hapag-Lloyd has ordered two 13,000 TEU container ships from New Times Shipbuilding, and the launched ship is the first one in the series.
It is worth mentioning that up to now, New Era Shipbuilding has completed the annual production task of delivering 27 ships with 3.71 million DWT.
