Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC Enric, recently signed a contract with Sinopec (Beijing) Clean Energy Co., Ltd. to build a 12,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel. The new vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2028.

CIMC SOE stated that Sinopec commissioned the vessel to advance its green shipping strategy, marking a key project in the company’s deployment of clean energy for the shipping sector. Once operational, the vessel will help complete the domestic coastal LNG bunkering network and address the shortage of bunkering facilities for green shipping.
According to previously announced winning bid details, the tender price (including tax) for this LNG bunkering vessel was RMB 565 million, with an evaluated price (excluding tax) of RMB 500 million. Following the signing of this contract, the value of orders on hand for CIMC Enric’s marine clean energy business has reached a new high.
Recently, CIMC SOE signed a contract with a joint venture between Capital (Greece) and CMA CGM for one 20,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel, with an option for an additional vessel. The unit price is US$82.8 million, and delivery is expected in the third quarter of 2028.
Including the latest orders, CIMC Enric has publicly announced a total of six LNG bunkering vessels this year: four 20,000-cubic-meter vessels (one of which is an option), one 18,900-cubic-meter vessel, and one 12,000-cubic-meter vessel.
