On April 4, Zhoushan Changhong International held a naming ceremony for the first vessel in a series of 50,000 DWT oil and chemical tankers built for the Greek company Horizon Tankers. The vessel, designated CHB5005, was named “HORIZON EMMANUAL.”
Shen Zhihua, General Manager of Changhong International, stated that the CHB5005 is the first project resulting from the collaboration between Changhong International and Horizon Tankers, and marks an important beginning to their partnership. The vessel completed its sea trials on March 31, and this naming ceremony signifies a successful start to their cooperation and marks a significant milestone.
According to reports, the vessel measures approximately 182.95 meters in overall length, with a beam of 32.2 meters and a draft of 19.1 meters. Classed by LR, the vessel is scheduled to be officially delivered to the owner in mid-April.
