On February 2, the Daishan Changhong Shipyard under Changhong International hosted a grand naming ceremony for the 115,000 DWT product tanker constructed for Greece’s Virono Maritimes S.A.
Changhong International stated that the “VOKARIA” is not only a technologically advanced, high-performance modern oil tanker, but also the first vessel delivered since Daisan base transitioned into shipbuilding.
Classed by ABS, the VOKARIA is an 115,000 DWT crude oil carrier designed to the latest international standards. It measures approximately 249.9 meters in length overall, with a beam of 44 meters and a depth of 21.5 meters.
The successful naming and delivery of this vessel not only demonstrates Changhong International’s comprehensive capabilities in large tanker construction but also lays a solid foundation for the company to secure future orders for similar vessels and establish a world-class shipbuilding base.
