On January 30, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard formally named and delivered the NS63500-3 bulk carrier “Zhongdamen, built for Nanjing Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. (NASCO), in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province.

This vessel is the third new vessel in its series built by NASCO at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. It is 199.9 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, and has a speed of 13.5 knots. The vessel incorporates the latest design, complies with the most recent international conventions, rules, and regulations, and meets IMO Phase III requirements for Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI).

It is a safe, efficient, low-consumption, and environmentally friendly bulk carrier. It is capable of carrying grain, coal, iron ore, steel coils, certain dangerous goods under the IMSBC Code, and other dry bulk cargoes. It can also carry deck cargoes, featuring a large deadweight capacity and spacious cargo holds. Equipped with four cranes, it offers enhanced cargo adaptability.
